We Need Volunteers!
USI is currently seeking compassionate, organized, and dependable house supervisor volunteers to oversee day-to-day operations during assigned 4-8 hour shifts at our Cheyenne House. In this role, the volunteer would maintain a safe and stable environment, and provide direct support to multiple students age 16-20 experiencing homelessness.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily house operations ensuring students are eating, sleeping, and attending school
Enforce house rules and guidelines fairly
Ensure house remains in good shape, with timely reporting of needed maintenance to staff
Respond calmly to crises or emergencies
Build trusting and professional relationships with the students by offering active listening, basic resource navigation, and de-escalation when needed
Note: daily tasks may include meal prep, chore tracking, homework assistance, practical life skills training, student schedule management, light cleaning and gardening, and driving as applicable

Student Startup - $25
A donation of $25 provides towels, bedding, and basic necessities for new students.

Meals for a Week - $100
A donation of $100 provides meals for one house for a week.

Monthly Student Sponsor - $250
A donation of $250 covers expenses for one student for one month!

Critical Education Support - $500
A donation of $500 go towards critical education support for a student. This is HUGE in helping them succeed!

Location Sponsor - $1000
A donation of $1000 provides operating expenses for one location for one month. Location sponsors will be featured on USI's social media.
