Purpose

The Rural Health Network The Rural Health Network of Albany County, Wyoming, began as a strategic partnership of nonprofits, governments, and businesses that provides services and support to students aged 16-20 experiencing homelessness. The Network helps students meet their physical, social, and emotional needs and assists with the transition to independent, healthy living.

History

The Rural Health Network of Albany County (RHN) commenced in July 2023 in compliance with USI's receipt of a grant through HRSA (Human Resources and Services Administration) Rural Health Development grant. The RHN consists of nonprofit, government, and business partners striving to improve the overall health outcomes of youth who are homeless in Albany County and rural Wyoming.

Where we are now

Through a partnership with Cognitive Behavioral Theater, the RHN has expanded to various agencies throughout our state to bridge the gap of services and offer support and resources in rural areas. We meet once a month to network and connect with all health and human service providers across the state - creating an active group dedicated to forming creative partnerships and helping each other to successfully achieve our collective missions.
